MWorks In-person

This MWorks Program is designed to improve the resilience of people in the workforce. It helps individuals become more aware of what is actually happening in the present moment, and this awareness allows them to respond to stress, anxiety and inter-personal difficulties in a more thoughtful way.

The structure of MWorks is largely based on the MBSR program developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn at The Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.

MWorks is taught through experiential practices, inter-mixed with group discussions and some didactic teachings.

MWorks consists of eight, one hour sessions run over consecutive weeks. Between week six and seven there is a one day silent practice session.

Components of MWorks can also be experienced as a two hour or one day course.

MWorks Online

MWorks Online consists of eight, one hour LIVE sessions via the ZOOM video platform. There are two opportunities every week to participate in the MindCul webinar.

Similar to MWorks In-person, each week will examine a new topic, that over the eight weeks will provide a strong theoretical and practical understanding of mindfulness and its impact on the individual.  Different mindfulness practices will be taught around these topics, and these will give participants increased practical skills and confidence in applying mindful awareness to their working lives.

MBSR

MindCul’s MBSR Program is similar to MWorks but is run outside of the workplace for groups (teachers, community workers and the general public) who want to live more mindfully.

The course is run over 8 weeks with each weekly session running for 2 hours.  Between Week 6 and Week 7 there will be a 1 Day (6 hours) practice day.

Each session will consist of practical exercises, formal mindfulness practices, group discussions and didactic teaching.
